Well, we all know that a healthy person doesn’t smoke, maintains a healthy weight, exercises and eats properly. It sounds simple, but for those who have tried changing their habits know how difficult it could be. Some decide to make drastic changes in their routines, but when they face the obstacles, they just lack a true motivation and soon give up.

The secret things for healthy living is to make small changes in daily life style: take a glass of water in the morning, do more physical activity, bring optimistic point of view – these are just a few simple ways to improve our lifestyle. Small changes may lead to big results! Here are the tips that may lead you to a healthy life style.

1. Drink a Glass of Water in the Morning

You should wake up early in the morning and drink one glass of room temperature water first. You can put a slice of lemon or lime in the water, if you don’t like you can take plain water. Water helps to clear our digestive system, maintain metabolism rate and remove the toxins. 

2. Sleep Enough

Lack of sleep makes you feel tired, dizzy and angry, even you can’t concentrate your attention. Lack of sleep can damage your physical health as well. Some studies have shown that 8 hours of sleep per 24-hour period is the average necessary requirement for adults. But all people are different and need for sleep can range from 6 to 10 hours. So, a sound sleep is essential for sound health.

3. Stretching your body in the Morning.

Instead of snoozing in the early morning, you can use your time more wisely. You can stretch your back, your legs, your neck and your body parts. It will wake up your body from sleep. Stretching early in the morning increases blood flow to your muscles providing an extra shot of oxygen and preparing them for a new day.

4. Take Snacks in a Healthy Way

Junk foods like potato chips, salted nuts, noodles, candies, cookies and other tasty stuff are definitely unhealthy for your body. They contain lots of fat, salt and sugar. You must choose raw nuts, fresh fruits, leafy vegetables or berries instead, because they are rich in vitamins and minerals.

5. Take a light Breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially for them who are weight loss seekers. If you skip it, you’ll get hungry before lunch and will start snacking on foods that are high in fat and sugar, but low in vitamins. Researchers have reported that breakfast eaters are significantly less likely to be obese and get diabetes compared with non-breakfast eaters. You may take a healthy dish, like breads, boiled eggs as well omelette with vegetables or fruit salad with yogurt as breakfast.

6. Go for a Daily Morning Walk

We all know about the advantages of physical exercise, but most of us have neither time, nor have desire to exercise. You should use the stairs as often as possible instead of using the elevator or lift, take a walk with your friends, walk your pet a bit longer, than usually – you can use any possibility to be more physically active. Researchers said that people only need to walk up to 12 miles per week or for about 125 to 200 minutes per week to improve their heart's health. 

7. Make good social connections.

It is said that lonely people are more likely to become ill and die younger. People who have no friends are more stressed, depressed and often less physically active. Likewise, experts say that socially connected person can be mentally fit and lovable to all. This leads to a prosperous life.

8. Find New Activities.

You must pick up a new activity involving the whole family members and friends such as hiking, group sports, swimming, rafting or riding a bicycle. Finding your hobby can give you the enjoyment and reduce your stress. You will be able to start meeting people who have the same interests as you and may make some new friends.

9. Love Your Life.

If you don’t love yourself, you may not love anybody in your life. So, don’t get nervous and angry because of the trivial things. Don’t be too serious. You must smile, care yourself, love others, and always look on the bright part of your life!
